In the year 2000, Selleck starred in a slew of TV films that included the Jesse Stone series, in which he was the role of a New England police chief. He was also the director of the series and received another Emmy nomination for the role. Selleck plays a police commissioner who belongs to a multigenerational officer family in Blue Bloods. The series premiered on CBS in 2010 and then renewed. He was also a part of the acclaimed comedy Three Men and a Baby which starred Ted Danson and Steve Guttenberg. The comedy went on to become the most popular film.
